Yesterday, I headed out to Grand Bend Motorplex to witness another track day hosted by Falcon Autosport. If that name sounds familiar, it’s because they’re the same awesome crew I ran with last time when I took my completely stock Corolla to a real race track — you can read that story here.
This time, though, I left the driving gloves at home and went just to watch. Sometimes it’s good to take a step back, breathe in the smell of burnt rubber, and just enjoy the chaos from the sidelines.
And man, what a day it was.
The pits were absolutely packed — everything from daily drivers with mismatched wheels to full-blown track builds that looked like they rolled straight out of a video game. There was even a Tesla quietly sneaking around between laps, which still feels weird when everything else around is screaming at redline.
Drew was there again, doing what he does best — keeping things organized, helping out new drivers, and making sure everyone had a good time. The whole event had that laid-back, friendly atmosphere Falcon Autosport is known for. Drivers were laughing, talking shop, and helping each other out between sessions. No egos, no drama — just people who love cars, pushing them to their limits.
The weather couldn’t have been better. It was cool enough that the cars stayed happy, but warm enough that standing outside didn’t feel like punishment. You could tell everyone was in the zone — and some of the driving was seriously impressive. I saw a few “hold-your-breath” cornering moments that could’ve gone either way, but everyone managed to keep it together.
And then there was this track-built GTR — a proper beast. The way it launched out of corners was unreal. You could feel the sound shake through the ground. Watching that thing chase down lighter cars down the straights was pure joy.
It’s always fun seeing how much passion people bring into these events. Whether it’s a heavily modified monster or a bone-stock daily, everyone shares that same spark — that itch to drive just a little harder each lap.
If you’ve never been to a Falcon Autosport track day, you’re missing out. Whether you drive or spectate, the energy is infectious.

Here’s a look at some of the cars and moments I captured. Each one tells a little part of what makes these days so addictive: fast cars, friendly people, and that sound you just can’t get enough of.

Another day, another reason to love cars. See you at the next one.
